Australia is building a black box which will store all the data of current world. This steel monolith, about 32 feet long, is being built in Tasmania and will collect data to show how humanity failed to stop the environmental crisis.

The idea is similar to a flight recorder in airplanes, which stores vital information during a crash. Earth’s black box will store climate-related data such as rising temperatures, melting icebergs, and sea level rise. It will work as a warning for the future generation identifying all the mistakes that current human beings are performing.

Without urgent action, they warn that climate change and other man-made issues could lead to the collapse of our civilization. The black box will inspire the future generations to avoid the mistakes we are currently doing and help them to build a safer future.

One sign of worsening climate change is the giant iceberg A23a. It broke off from Antarctica in 1986 but stayed stuck until recently. Now it’s floating near South Georgia Island.

On top of that, a new study warns that an earthquake, combined with rising sea levels, could cause some parts of the world to go underwater—especially by the year 2100.
