She was confined to a hotel room and forced to engage with customers who were sent directly to her. The accused charged clients between ₹2,000 and ₹5,000, giving her only a small share.

Investigations revealed that women from Assam, West Bengal (Kolkata), Sikkim, and Chhattisgarh (Raipur) were also brought to the hotel as part of the racket. Police are reviewing hotel guest registers, CCTV footage, and the accused’s call records to uncover the full extent of the network.
Chaurasia has been booked under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita related to rape, criminal intimidation, and obscene acts. The BJP has confirmed his prior affiliation and has initiated action to suspend his primary membership.
While other sex rackets involving women from different states have recently been busted in Jabalpur, police say those cases are separate and not directly linked to Chaurasia’s operation.
