A 23 Years Old Woman Committed Suicide Due To Her In-Laws TortureTo

A heartbreaking case has emerged from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a 23-year-old woman, Amreen Jahan, ended her life just four months after her love marriage. Before taking the extreme step, Amreen recorded a powerful video message on her phone, accusing her husband, father-in-law, and sister-in-law of relentless mental harassment.
In the video, Amreen described the emotional torment she faced after a miscarriage. She alleged that her in-laws constantly taunted her over trivial matters—criticizing her eating habits, cutting off her electricity supply, and questioning her worth. “My sister-in-law Khatija, my father-in-law Shahid, and my husband are responsible for my death,” she said tearfully. “They say, ‘Why don’t you die?’ I can’t take it anymore.”
Amreen’s husband, who works as a welder in Bengaluru, was away at the time, while she stayed with his family in Moradabad. She accused him of neglecting her distress and blindly believing his father and sister. In a chilling moment, she recalled her in-laws telling her that paying for her treatment was a “mistake” and demanding repayment.
“I don’t know what will happen when I die, but I’ll be better off than I am now,” she concluded before ending her life on camera.
Amreen’s father, Salim, has filed a police complaint after discovering her body. He said she had called him in distress, crying and pleading for help just hours before her death. Police have launched an investigation and sent the body for autopsy.
