In a horrifying case of assault in Uttar Pradesh, a youth named Atul Kashyap, a resident of Sitapur, was stripped, tied up, and brutally thrashed by his girlfriend’s family in Hardoi district. The incident occurred in the Lonar police station area, where the girl had allegedly called Atul to her village to meet her family.
However, instead of a meeting, Atul was reportedly held hostage and tortured. A viral video of the victim narrating his ordeal has sparked outrage on social media.
According to Atul, he was:
1. Stripped naked and tied up
2. Beaten with sticks and a hammer
3. Burned with boiling water
4. Forced to drink urine
5. Assaulted on his private parts
He claimed the assault continued until he lost consciousness. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted him to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Visuals show severe injury marks all over his body, and his condition was initially reported as critical.
Police officials confirmed that a fight broke out following an argument between both parties. “Atul Kashyap was injured and admitted to the hospital. His condition is now stable and out of danger. A formal complaint is awaited, and legal action will be taken accordingly,” police said.
The case has sparked calls for immediate arrest of the accused and stricter measures to prevent such acts of vigilante violence.
