A Punjabi cobbler has been arrested due to suspect of spying on army cantt

Punjab: Sunil Kumar, a cobbler working in Bathinda Army Cantt, has been arrested on suspicion of spying. Chats on his phone allegedly link him to a Pakistani girl.
According to reports Sunil Kumar was circulating the information about Indian army to a Pakistani girl via WhatsApp. Officials claims that he had been in contact of Pakistani girl since a long period of time and was sharing critical information of army in exchange of money. He has been arrested by the army and handed over to police. A case has been filed against him ad investigations has been began.

- Leaking army information to enemy can cause imprisonment upto 14 years and even life time in severe cases
Leaking army information can cause also death penalty if the information cause any damage to the army.
Army Act, 1950:
- It causes death in war time
- It causes lifetime imprisonment in peace time
