Communal Tensions Arises In Nainital Over Rape Of A 7-Years Girl By A 73 Years Old Muslim Guy

On April 12, a horrific rape incident occurred in Nainital Mallital area, involving an elderly man named Mohd.Usman, who allegedly lured a 12-years old girl, using his money and took her to his car, and raped her on knife point.

The girl narrated her story infront of her family and after that her mother took her to the police station and filed a case against him. Tensions escalated after the word spread and a huge crowd protested on Wednesday.

This gave rise to outrage amongst Hindus, which leds to communal Tensions and protest in that area, especially in the Bara Bazar where the accused reportedly has an office.

The mob also vandalised shops belonging to the members of minority group and threw stones at the local mosque. A huge crowd reached to the police station and demanded strict actions against him.

Police has arrested the 73 years old guy under POCSO act nad have heightned the police and security deployment in the area and accused house, in light of escalating situations
