IRCTC launched Its Own App To Provide Train Serivices
Indian railway “IRCTC” launched its own super app named ‘Swarail’ to make travel more easier and convenient to the passengers. The information about SwaRail’s launch is correct. Indian Railways had launched the SwaRail super app in beta testing in January 2025, offering services like train ticket booking, general tickets, platform tickets, running status, catering, and Rail Madad, as claimed. It’s available on Android and iOS. However, as of May 17, 2025, the Swarail app is fully launched publicly. Official sources confirm a full release. The Swarail app has the following features:
- Train Ticket Booking :- A passenger will able to book train tickets from mobile. You can also find train by root, dates and class. An individual will also have option to choose preferred seats, multiple payments method, Cancellation refunds, route suggestions and travel alerts.
- Running Status:- Passengers can now check real time update of train, arrival and departure time of train, delay alerts, route tracking, past performance, platform number etc through his/her device.
Catering:- Swarail app also has the feature to order variety of food in the train. This feature is can also major changes in railway.
