During this festivals floors are decorated by colours with unique design called rangoli. On this day people wears their traditional dresses called gudi dvaja. Dancing, gathering, singing, special food are the way of celebrating Gudi Padwa. Families prepare a special dish on this day by using neem tree and gur, gul with some sour tamarind and astringent dhane seeds.
