Myanmar Bangkok earthquake kills 1000 people today

A massive earthquake of 7.7 magnitude struck in Sagaign of Myanmar on Friday followed by several aftershocks.
In earthquake that hit Myanmar and Thailand on 29, March 2025, about 1002 people had lost their life and 2376 got injured in Myanmar’s Mandalary region. IT was the country’s second largest city close to the epicenter of the quake. People had lost their life due to collapsed buildings, residential houses bridges, roads etc. There was several aftershocks felt during morning.
In Bangkok 10 deaths had been reported till now. Infrastructures such as roads, buildings, residential buildings and been affected due to the earthquake. Search and rescue operations has been currently carried in the affected areas.
Major Events After Earthquake:
- Rescuers in Bangkok has worked friday whole night to rescue trapped workers under a collapsed 30-storey skyscraper.
- 70 aftershocks has been observed after earthquake.
- Bangkok Governer Chadchart Sittipunt said “10 people had been confirmed killed due to earthquake across the city . But 100 workers are still missing at the building site . We are doing our best with the rescuers we have because every life matters.”
- Bangkok city authority said “They will deploy more than 100 engineers to inspect buildings for safety across the city.
- People of Bangkok started to sleep outside in the parks
International Help From Countries:
China : China will provide 100 million yuan to Myanmar and has immediately sent a team of 82 rescuers to Myanmar and they have also confirmed that they will start shipments from monday.
USA: USA president Donald Trump said ” Its terrible situation in Myanmar . we will help them . And also confirmed that they have already talked with Myanmar officials.
India: Indian foreign minister has confirmed that C-130 military transport plane of India has sent to Myanmar carrying kits, blankets, food parcels, medical equipments along with a medical team and other utensils
South Korea: Korean government has also confirmed that they will help by sending $2 million to support Myanmar. The korean government that this help will support Myanmar in its current situation.
Malaysia: Malaysian foreign minister said they will also send a team of 49 rescue personnel to support disaster relief of Myanmar.
