Delhi police confirms that only Aadarsh card, PAN card, ration card will not be considered as a proof of Indian citizens. Only Indian passport and Indian voters Id card will be seen to confirm the nationality of an individual.
Why This Step Was Taken?
This step is taken because illegal immigrants of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Rohingyas are residing inside Delhi with fake Aadhar card, PAN card, Ration card because they are easier to be faked. So Delhi police has confirmed that only passport and voter ID card will be a valid proof of Indian citizens.
An officer of Delhi has stated that during a verification drive many illegal immigrants has Aadhar card, PAN card, Ration card but they were not able to show Passport or Voter ID card. So Delhi police has confirmed that Only Indian Voter ID card Or Indian Passport Are Cosidered As A Proof Of Indian Citizen.
This Step is also very important after the Pahalgam attack. People are concerned about their security.Delhi police has stated that our fight will last till each and every illegal immigrants get deported to their own country.
