This film was officially announced in social media by Salman Khan on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr in April 2024. Sikandar movie is collaboration of Salman Khan with Nadiadwala after a long period of time. Lat movie they have done together was Kick (2014). It had performed decent on the box office.

Casting: In an interview Sharman Joshi revealed that he met Salman khan during a function and told him about his struggle to get a decent roles in movies. Then Salman Khan confronted him saying “You are doing Sikandar with me”. That’s how he got role of Amar in movie “Sikandar”. Similarly Rashmika Mandhana was casted in lead female role as Saisri Rajkot in may 2024 in movie.

Release: Sikandar movie was theatrically released on 30 March 2025. in satandard and IMAX. This movie got more than 5000 screens on Day 1 in all over India.
