US Announced Golden Dome Missile System Like Israel
US President Donald Trump has introduced a new defense system called the “Golden Dome.” This system is made to protect United States from missiles attack by other countries and even from the space.
Trump spoke about the project at the White House. Donald Trump said ” I had promised US citizens that I will build a cutting-edge missile defense shield, and today I am glad to announce we successful did that”.
US governmentwill provide $25 million fund at its initial stage. Trump said the full cost may reach $175 billion, and the system could be ready in about three years. The project will be led by US Space Force General Michael Guetlein. Canada has also shown interest in joining the plan.
The Golden Dome is based on the idea of Israel’s Iron Dome, which has stopped many short-range rockets since 2011. But the Golden Dome will target more threats, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, and drones.
Trump said, “Once the Golden Dome is fully prepared it can intercept the missiles launched from another end of earth and even from space.
Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said the goal is to protect the US from different types of missiles and drones, whether they are nuclear or not.
